Located on Syngrou Avenue, within walking distance to Onassis Cultural Center and in close proximity to Acropolis and Plaka, the luxury hotel was extensively renovated and renamed to Grand Hyatt Athens Hotel. In 2017, Hines, an American real estate company, in collaboration with the European real estate investment platform Henderson Park, took under its ownership the Athens Ledra Hotel, formerly the Ledra Marriott.
The opening in August 2018 marked the first Hyatt hotel in the Greek capital and the first Grand Hyatt in Greece. The luxurious hotel combines classical architecture with innovative design.
